For many moons, the labels have railed against Apple’s insistence on selling all music at a single price. In Amazon, they have found an ally in their bid for variable pricing, which is almost certainly why Amazon MP3 is allowed to sell DRM-free music that iTunes is not. The latest manifestation of this situation is the launch of two new MP3 discount programs on Amazon.
