Arthur Russell Expands Posthumous Empire to Film Scores, Continues Bid for Busiest Dead Musician…
The music of late Downtown New York composer Arthur Russell will soundtrack a new feature film, Keep the Lights On, opening September 7 in New York and L.A. with a run of national screenings to follow. The nine-song soundtrack is out digitally September 4 via the Russell-specific Audika Records, and serves nicely as an introduction to his vast catalogue of folk, electronic, and meditative cello works.
