Next month’s Grammy Awards show will feature performances from The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons and Fun., according to an announcement made earlier today. Via The New York Times:
Rihanna and Taylor Swift, who have three nominations a piece, will also perform in this televised ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10.
The show usually includes appearances by the acts who have raked in the most nominations, so the line-up for the show is no surprise. Fun., a Brooklyn rock trio, has six nominations, including nods in all four major categories: best new artist, album of the year, song of the year and record of the year. Mumford & Sons also has six, including for record and song of the year.
The Black Keys, the Nashville blues-rock duo with two Grammys already, are nominated in five categories. Their last album, “El Camino,” is up for album of the year and best rock album, while the single “Lonely Boy” is nominated for record of the year, best rock performance and best rock song.
We’d like to congratulate Taylor Swift for having yet another platform from which to take barely-under-the-radar shots at Jake Gyllenhall.
