IEG Sponsorship Report [sub. req.]:
After spending the last few years building an extensive sponsorship portfolio loaded with sports properties, Crocs, Inc. is adding music festivals, community events and other types of entertainment-centric properties to its mix.
So far this year, Crocs has signed or is finalizing contracts with roughly 30 non-sports properties, including Milwaukee’s Summerfest, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, Seattle’s Bumbershoot and Manchester, Tenn.’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
In addition to single-festival deals, Crocs also is aligning with rightsholders that produce multiple events. For example, Crocs this summer will gain a presence at 25 music amphitheaters through a partnership with Live Nation, Inc., as well as the inaugural All Points West Music & Arts Festival and four other music fests produced by AEG.

gross
they sponsored a volleyball tournament i once went to.
everything - i mean everything - was covered in their logo.
there was even a makeshift crocs shop built on the grounds.
i guess it makes sense for a branded sports tournament.
but if they go the same distance with a radiohead-lining festival, it might just end up being the most garish thing i'll ever see.
Should we expect a Mario Batali showcase at SXSW next year?
i wonder what color thom yorke will wear?
FUCK LIVE NATION!!!!
ugh! terrible! so lame.
