Crystal Method preps new album... Features collabs with Metric and Justin Warfield...

Kirkland and Jordan are using the DJ gigs partly to test out new tracks from their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album. The pair has collaborated with a wide variety of artists through the years, including Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland and actress Milla Jovovich. Now they’ve teamed up with She Wants Revenge singer Justin Warfield and Metric chanteuse Emily Haines.

“The album is different,” Kirkland said. “There are big, organic live drums and distortion and lots of bass and that sort of bombastic sound that we’ve been doing for so many years. But lots of collaborations have taken it in lots of different directions. I think people are going to be happy with it.”
