Daft Punk recording new music in Paris studio...

“The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment,” he revealed to ITM. “And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment.” While those creative juices are flowing again, it’s not known at this stage when the new album might see the light of day. “They are slow, you know,” Busy P laughed when asked. “They are taking their time, and they have a right.”

Busy P also revealed that he recently decided to step down from the massive task of managing Daft Punk in order to allow him to focus all his energies on the Ed Banger record label. “I’ve stopped working with them really recently, because I want to focus and concentrate on Ed Banger and my artists, and my own career as Busy P.” But after managing Daft Punk for 12 years, it’s a safe bet that the relationship will continue to be a tight one.

Aren't Daft Punk technically Label-less at the moment? I was pretty sure Human After All was the last contractually agreed album with Virgin.

Here's hoping we get another October surprise and Daft Punk announces the new album's release a week before it comes out.

Daft punk are one of the most influential electronica acts in the last 20 yrs.
Nice guys too!!! They should put out more material and screw the labels. If radiohead and Nine Inch nails can do it, daft can definit. do it. And for all you haters out their if we had no daft punk your glorious kanye west would not have had a template to base his last grammy winning album on.

unfortunately i have known that tune since that album came out and NOT when a compilation of "rare" funk tunes that DAFT looped was released and have been disenchanted ever since.

they do have a kickass live show!

Wow I love DAFT PUNK. Cant wait for new album, despite them being an artist that use samples they still come up with pretty original stuff. I mean who else would come up with a song about a robotic stone aka robot rock lol
