Bruce Springsteen vs. Gene Simmons: Did The Boss Rip Off Kiss?... Listen to Both Tracks and Decide For Yourself...
There’s no doubt there’s some similarities between Bruce Springsteen’s overlong Working On A Dream opus “Outlaw Pete” and Kiss’ 1979 smash hit “I Was Made For Lovin’ You.” But does it tread into Coldplay/Joe Satriani territory? Or Nickleback/Nickelback territory? You be the judge.
Comparing “Outlaw Pete” and “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”
Until Gene Simmons speaks out about it, here’s “Gene Simmons” speaking out about it

As though Bruce has to rip off Kiss....that is just laughable. Where is KISS today? Gene Simmons is doing reality shows to keep his face on TV and Springsteen is still a superstar.
Springstein is a washed up old has been who was never a rocker to begin with. Kiss broke new ground when they first hit the scene. Springstein just breaks wind.
doesnt even sound like Gene......both songs suck anyways
Killer is a moron.
First of all that is not Gene Simmons talking. Anyone who has ever heard Gene talk knows that is not his voice. AS for the song it definitely sounds like the Kiss song. FYI, Kiss is still performing regularly and Paul Stanley recently released a killer CD and DVD.
Uh. No. I am the judge, and I say: STOP WASTING MY TIME.
OK, that is a decent match... major mash-up opportunity, so get editing, nerds.
my moneys on THE BOSS slight similarities...diferent song...besides gene is too hairy[chest hair] and a family show tacky guy!!!!
Bruce ripped off Kiss. Bottom line. Bruce sux! Kiss Rules!
what is the problem with taking a riff from another song...there are only 8 notes in a musical scale...i'm sure if you take any performers collection you will find similarities with many different musicans and genres...dont you think by now gene simmons would have commented or filed something...if you go to his website someone brings this topic up and he seems ambilalent about it....
No Justin your the moron....the boss can't sing for sh*t. Paul would blast him off the stage! And yes it a rip off
The only place that song stealing piece of shit Sprinsteen is popular is out there in the white trash armpit of the world New Jersey Kiss Rules
ight, springsteen over KISS anyday they are no talent hacks. Springsteen is possibly the greatest songwriter to ever live.
there isn't a similarity. end of story.
