"I'm a Fire" is GREAT! I'm excited about the rest!!
i caaaaaant wait to hear all the tracks!
The Queen is back!!!!
I can't wait May 20. I am a Fire is a hot track
I'M A FIRE IS FABOULUS
OMG...This is AWESOME news! Call Congress! May 20th needs to be a National Holiday!!! FIRE is wonderful! WELCOME BACK, Donna!!! LONG OVERDUE! :)
I'M A FIRE SINCE I GOT THE LATETST NEWS, I LISTEN AND ENJOY "IM A FIRE" WHEN I GO TO THE GYM, WHEN I'M AT MY OFFICE, WHEN I GO TO PICK MY DAUGHTER AT SCHOOL, WHEN I'M IN THE MOOD WITH MY WIFE, EVEN WHEN I'M DEEPLY SLEPT, I LOVE THE SONG, I LOVE OUR QUEEN; WELCOME BACK DONNA, I LOVE TO LOVE YOU!
"I'm A Fire" will be the first BIG ANTHEM of 2008- without a doubt!
Welcome back DONNA!
Not so fast. I need to hear this first. Her 1991 release suuuuuuucked.
"Crayons" will be awesome because it's Donna Summer!! 1991's "Mistaken Identity" did not get promoted hardly at all. It had some great cuts on it though. Donna is going out of the box on this one, I hear. Outside the coloring book lines:) Nobody sounds like Donna. What a freshness she will bring to the music world once again. Too many artists today sound like somebody else. Welcome back, Donna.
We'll welcome here back to LA at the Hollywood Bowl. Can't wait to hear what she has in store...
Donna Summer, in my opinion, should be dubbed "The Queen of Music" because she can definitely deliver on all edges. To me I'm a Fire is not Donna's best but I think that she delivered this song intentionally because she plans to "upstage" all the other "Diva" pretenders. Without bias Donna Summer is close to the best if not the best voice in popular music because unlike others her voice always delivers BIG! She is definitely "On Fire" if nothing else!!!!!
YES!YES!YES! THE ORIGINAL DIVA THAT SET THE STANDARD FOR ALL THE OTHER POP TARTS THAT FOLLOWED!!! NOBODY DOES IT BETTER THAN THIS LADY! SHE KNOWS WHATS UP! I'VE LOVED HER SINCE I WAS A KID IN THE '70S AND SHE BECAME MY LIFES SOUNDTRACK. IF YOU WANT CLASS, YOU WANT DONNA!! DO IT BABY!!!
THIS SOUNDS GREAT TO HAVE THE QUEEN BACK AFTER WAITING FOR 17 YEARS SINCE HER LAST MISTAKEN IDENTITY..I,M A FIRE IS HOT AND LETS FACE IT WHO SINGS LIKE DONNA??????
Just love her voice! I did not grow up on her, but she clearly has the best voice in pop. Crayons sounds interesting, I cannot wait for it. As long as it's pop, I'm ok. I'm a fire is ok, I like the less dancey original mix the most. Hope to hear some nice ballads. Nothing to old sounding.
I was 15 the first time I heard MacArthur Park on the radio and wanted to hear more of that glorious voice. In the thirty years since that day the "soundtrack of my life" has been exclusively Donna Summer. Donna is the best voice live, recorded or through a wire and a tin can. No one can outsing her! I've seen her live at least 50 times and every time that voice brings me to tears with its power and depth of feeling. There has been a drought for the past seventeen years and "Heaven Knows" I've prayed for it to rain. Let it rain! Long may you reign Donna, Queen of all music!
I'm looking forward to hearing new songs from my favorite female singer. She still sounds great, but I've noticed she can't hold the long notes anymore on hits as "MacArthur Park", and "Dim All The Lights." I wonder how she ends with I Will Go With You (Con te Partiro). Does she sing that song in concert? Regardless, Donna Summer remains a great singer/entertainer. Even Elton John can't really sing the high notes anymore, but he brings it down a bit and it still sounds good. Will Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand ever sing "No More Tears (Enough is Enough)" together again? That would be hot. My calendar is marked for May 20.
YES YES FINNALLY SHES BACK THE ONE AND ONLY QUEEN EVER.....I CAN WAIT TO BUY AND HEAR THE NEW "CRAYONS" ALBUM.......
The Queen is back indeed!
I've been a Donna Summer fan from the start, and I simply can't wait for Crayons. Mistaken Identity wasn't the best Donna Summer album ever (but there have been about 15 others that were!).
And we've had loads of "Greatest Hits", "Endless Hits, "Gold Hits" etc.
Crayons will be brilliant....spread the word...Donna deserves to be back on top, back in the charts, and back on our screens.
And Donna, if you're reading this...please come back to the UK soon!
xx Chris, London, UK.
I have to say that 'Mistaken Identity' didn't really deserve to be a hit album, it wasn't that good and certainly not very original. Almost seventeen years on and now we have a brand new Donna Summer album to hit the stores. From what i've heard, it's a return to her glory days as the one disco 'queen' who mattered. That voice rings right through you live, for those who haven't has the experience yet. I've dragged my family and my pals to see Donna live over the years and when they hear her they know exactly what it was about her that made me play her records over and over, throughout my life. Let's forget the duff album of 1991 and look forward to this one, and thank god it's not another compilation. Universal, you have got to stop releasing Donna Summer compilations, unless of course you do your homework and go find some real gems of Donna's which still lie in a vault somewhere..... Good luck Donna, it feels right again.
i really hope the albom does well
Do you hear STAMPS YOUR FEED, it´s gorgeous, wonderful, i can hear a minute in the russian charts.
It is easy. If you want a TRUE QUEEN then get the real one...Donna go forth and reclaim your throne. Show this industry what music and singing is about like you did for many years. Some want to deny your REIGN. I say step up to the challenges and rule like you were put on the THRONE to do!!!
How could you not love Donna!!???!!!??

"STAMP YOUR FEET" is Donna's staple and is sure to welcome the "Queen of Music" back. Welcome home Donna!!!!
I almost just fainted tonight learning that My Diva is releasing a new CD with ALL NEW tracks. Like I took a time machine back in 1991, or back to those days when she released an album two to three times a year when I was a teenager. Omigosh. If this album is a smash hit and if she is promoting it this summer on a concert tour, I am just about ready to faint every day. My Diva can never be outdone!!!!
(Love the cover concept, too!)
THANK GOD, THE QUEEN IS BACK.
yes, she is coming back but she has never left us! she is the ONE, the others are mere out loud voices.
thank GOD its SUMMER time again!
thanks Donna for bring me Jimmy and other friends to my life
I have waited...we have all waited...as impatient as I have been, it has been worth the wait. I am so grateful for all the people I have met as a result of Donna's music from Nacho in Argentina to Javier in Spain. Long live the Queen! Viva la Reina!
the song - be myself again - awesome ballad!!!
I'm glad she is back. She has the best voice and is always a class act.
Can it be that we can once again find love on the radio? I think so, GO Donna, Go Donna!!
:)
Shhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeesssssssssssss BACK ! ! !
"IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD" My favorite Dance Remix from Donna until now ! ! The Queen is definately back. From "Im a Fire" to "Stamp your feet" to "The Queen is Back". The best music in 2008 without a doubt. Thankyou Donna for all the great music. HOT STUFF from one BAD GIRL.
Got the first copy sold at Best Buy in Jxn.,MS. Thanks Earl.
Great cd Donna, and yes love can be once again found on the radio.
Bill P. :)
GO DONNA!!!! UR DA BEST, JUST PURCHASED UR CD AND ITS GREAT!! WELCOME BACK!
Donna is always great, I love Crayons because it shows Her incredible voice, the high notes and dancing melodies, well put, up tempo and dance concious......
I had no idea that Donna was having a new album out. I saw her on American Idol and she was FABULOUS! When I saw the CD in the store, I almost had a heart attack. Donna has always held a special place in my heart and she was the first artist to turn me on to music, which has been my obsession for the last 30 years. Although the pickings have been slim from her for the last 17 years, whenever a single was released (Carry On anyone?), it was a sign that our queen was still around, putting out good music. Donna was not only the Queen of Disco, she is the Queen - period. Crayons is an outstanding album, with the first 5 tracks KILLER! I have had this on endless play since I got it 3 weeks ago, and still haven't tired of it. I have only one thing to say, Donna, THANK YOU for an entire lifetime of music. THE QUEEN IS BACK!!!
i bought the new donna summer album and it is great.the lady has an incredible voice, don't forget that she wrote or co-wrote most of her hits.if you have listend to her music through out the years you know not all the music is disco/dance music.i'm fairly young and i like all genres of music,so if you like good music try it out.if any of you out have not heard or seen her perform live, you are missing out on one of the best entertainers male or female ever.
i love it. i'm ready for more.
