BBC:

1980s pop group Kajagoogoo are to re-form and will stage the first UK tour with their original line-up in more than 25 years, they have announced.

The band, fronted by singer Limahl – famed for his mullet hairstyle – had hits in the early 1980s with songs including Ooh To Be Ah and Big Apple.

They split months after their biggest hit, Too Shy, went to number one.

Telegraph:

Limahl, 50, whose real name in Christopher Hamill, said: “It took us 25 years to grow up, basically. All this silly stuff – ‘if you want to talk to me, talk to my lawyer…’

“But now we’re back together, it’s a relief.”

He added: “When you get to our age, you know you’re half way through your life or more; you know this is not a rehearsal, it’s the real thing.”

The group’s publicist said Kajagoogoo were “armed with new songs”.
