Which other artists — musicians or otherwise — influenced this album?
I saw [Detroit’s] Theo Parrish D.J. at Plastic People, this amazing venue in London. He played a really broad mix that got me excited about the idea of dance music and its repetitive beats being a way to free yourself and do eccentric things. There’s also an amazing Ricardo Villalobos track called “Enfants” with a loop from a Christian Vander, the drummer of Magnus, that’s an amazing piece of music.
