Q: How is Imeem different from Spiral Frog, which is another ad supported music site?

DALTON CALDWELL: SpiralFrog is a download store. Imeem is an online community centered around music and offers interactive streaming rather than downloads. Imeem has more available catalog and a larger user base by an order of magnitude.

Q: Do you think you will be able to offer free downloads any time soon? Why?

STEVE JANG: We’re thinking about it as a promotional tool for partners, but we don’t see free downloads on a wide scale making sense for artists, labels, and us…at least not just yet.
