Being the connoisseur of the Blues that he is, Jack White’s Third Man Records has started a reissue series with Document Records. The complete catalogues of Blues greats, such as Charley Patton, Blind Willie McTell, and the Mississippi Sheiks will be the collaboration’s first undertaking with more to follow. Via Pitchfork:
The label will release the complete discography of each artist starting with the first volume later this month. Subsequent volumes will be released regularly, and they plan to give the same treatment to other legendary artists from Document’s long-running Complete Recorded Works series.
This will be the first time this music has been pressed to vinyl in decades. In addition, the series will feature brand new artwork by Rob Jones (see image above).
