From The Jam:

From The Jam: Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler, two thirds of the original line-up of The Jam, embarked on a major 23-date UK tour in November and December 2007. The autumn tour followed hot on the heels of the band’s sold-out 20-date UK tour during May of the same year. During 2007, the band played to over 60,000 people in the UK. The overall reaction from the fans has been phenomenal.

The band recently announced a major North American tour which begins on 24th January 2008 at the House of Blues in San Diego, California. The 14-date tour takes in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Anaheim, Chicago, to name but a few. Special guest on all North American dates is Hugh Cornwell, formerly the original singer and guitarist of The Stranglers.

#3 McKilla DaNilla says:

Until today i never even knew the other 2 guys in the Jam had names.

#4 In The Know says:

Hugh Cornwell is NOT covering Jam tracks, he's supporting - ie Opening up for From The Jam on this North American Tour. Don't you people who write blogs ever get your facts right??

I saw The Jam over 20 times and have now seen From The Jam 11 times on The May and NOv/Dec Tour - so I can fully be a judge! There is hardly any difference - accept the lead singer in FTJ is much younger and better looking!

As for you - McKilla DaNilla - you're obviously NOT a Jam fan or you would have known Foxton's and Buckler's names - how could anyone be a fan of any band and not know ALL the musicans names - unheard of in my world! - But then I am from GREAT Britain - we tend not to be mentalists over just one person in a band and appreciate everyone who plays a part!

To 'In The Know':

Actually, Hugh Cornwall IS singing with the band as Paul Weller doesn't want to have anything more to do with the band. However, he also isn't so shallow that he's going to sue anyone for the use of the name, nor his songs. He's fine with it all, just doesn't want to "Jam" anymore, excuse the pun.

Anyway, this sounds like something worth going to see for sure.

Cheers!!

"The group--featuring Jam bassist Bruce Foxton and drummer Rick Buckler, along with singer/guitarist Russell Hastings and guitarist/keyboardist Dave Moore--will kick off a 13-city run Jan. 24 in San Diego. The tour will run north up the West Coast into Canada before spreading out to other parts of the US, winding down mid-March in Dallas."
