“Lady is a Tramp” remake collaborators and cross-generational BFFs Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga will be working on an album together, according to Gaga. Via Digital Spy:
“And here’s me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he’s my darling,” GaGa tweeted, along with a picture of herself and Bennet.
The jazz singer joined GaGa on stage at the White House Staff Ball earlier this week, which took place to celebrate President Barack Obama’s inauguration.
GaGa performed stripped-down versions of her hits, including 'Born This Way and 'You And I’.
Meanwhile, producer Zedd recently claimed that GaGa has loads more work to do on her third studio set ARTPOP, which was believed to be released in spring 2013.
If you were to take any other 20-something singer, and pair them with any other 80-something singer, this would be nuts, but Bennett has bridged the age gap before, and Lady Gaga seems able to work with almost anyone, except Madonna, so we’re kind of stoked to see this happen.
