For M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez, it took three years to create his double album masterpiece, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. Gonzalez talked to the Creators Project about the influences he drew upon for the album and how he eventually brought his dream to life. Via The Creators Project:
We also got a chance to sit down with Anthony Gonzalez to chat about the evolution of his band’s sound as reflected on the critically acclaimed new album and how the its theme of childhood memories relates to the tale of Fleur & Manu‘s video trilogy. “Cinema is a big influence for me,” says Gonzalez. “This album is built like a soundtrack, like an imaginary film, and this is what we tried to convey with this trilogy.” He also touches on the band’s recent video for “Steve McQueen” and the use of M83’s music in film trailer for Curt Morgan’s The Art Of Flight, among others.
