UPDATED: Murder Music: Horrorcore Rapper Syko Sam Arrested in the Killing of Four...
A preliminary hearing has been set for January 11th, because of the “hundreds of pieces” of evidence discovered and time required to process them. Attorney James Ennis said after today’s hearing “The lab doesn’t have a clue what’s coming towards them.” Richard is currently charged with one first degree murder (of Mark Niederbrock, local pastor and Emma Niederbrock’s father) and is expected to be charged with another three. The other victims are believed to be Emma, her friend Melanie Wells and Niederbrock’s mother, Debra Kelley. As of now, the bodies have yet to be identified.
Some American news outlets are reporting that the last time Emma spoke to another friend, she allegedly told him to pass on to her friends that she loved them, which bemused him. The Mercury News have reported that Richard’s MySpace page was accessed on Sunday many of the messages on it deleted, including those from Emma Niederbrock. One message recently posted on his page from her stated “I know my mind works weird cause I always expect the worst, but I’m trying sooo hard not to with you cause I know you’d never hurt me.” Foxnews also report that a tow truck driver who gave him a lift to a service station twelve hours before the bodies were discovered said “He stunk like the devil” but acted completely normal. At that point it is believed the victims had been dead almost a week.
Based on the various statements and events here’s a timeline of how it all transpired. This will in all likelihood be our final report on the case till January. A lot of questions remain unanswered, but the fresh ones that have come up concern Emma Niederbrock and her knowledge of what may have been about to happen. The other significant question is regarding who logged into Richard’s account to deleted those comments and what their motive in doing so was.
Sept 6th Richard McCroskey flies out to visit Emma Niederbrock in Farmville, Virginia.
Sept 12th Attends ‘Strictly for the Wicked’ horrorcore show. Niederbrock’s parents drove them to the gig. It’s believed that some time after the gig the murders were commited. Richard’s sister Sarah McCroskey reported to the press that there had been an argument between Richard and Emma at the concert.
Sept 15th Richard ends a call to his family home with “I love you guys.” Something unheard of amongst family members, which causes his older siblings to think something may be wrong.
Sept 17th Richard McCroskey answers the door of the Kelly residence to the police who are looking for Melanie Wells following an alert from her mother, Richard calmly tells them she’s out at the cinema with a friend.
Sept 18th Police find bodies when returning to the home following another call from Melanie’s mother. Twelve hours earlier Richard had been stopped and was ticketed for driving Niederbrock’s car without a license, the car wasn’t registered as stolen and the police had no idea they’d let a suspected murderer go free. The tow truck driver who gave Richard a lift to a service station reported he “stunk like the devil.”
Sept 19th Mother of Melanie Wells contacts Andres Shrim (owner of Serial Killin Records) worried about missing daughter. After receiving a call from someone claiming that Richard McCroskey had told them he’d “killed everyone” contacts the Farmville Police Department and inform them of a possible homicide at the Kelly residence. Richard is found asleep in a chair of the departures lounge of the local airport and arrested. A reporter asks him why he did it, he replies “Jesus told me to.”
Sept 21st Richard McCroskey appears in court and is charged with the first degree murder of Mark Niederbrock.
McCroskey, 20, was being held Sunday in the killings of four people who were found at a Longwood University professor’s home near campus in Farmville, which is about 50 miles west of Richmond. McCroskey, of Castro Valley, Calif., faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery and grand larceny of an automobile, said Farmville police Capt. Wade Stimpson.
The aspiring rapper in the underground horrorcore genre, which sets violent lyrics to hip-hop beats, was arrested Saturday at a Richmond airport, where authorities believe he was trying to catch a flight back to California. Officers found McCroskey asleep in the baggage claim area.
I’m going to tell what happened from our angle of the aspect, i will be leaving certain details out being that legally i cannot disclose them at this time as i have been asked not to by law enforcement.
A phone call was placed in the early morning hours of 9 – 19 – 2009 from Melanie Wells mother to Razakel, regarding the whereabouts of her daughter being that Neither Emma or her Parents could be reached at the time, she was due home and had not arrived and had becomed worried.
Myself and Razakel became concerned and contacted various people trying to locate the individuals in question (Melanie, Emma & Sam) and were unable to reach anyone.
Shortly after i recieved a phone call from a individual stating that the Suspect in the murders had contacted them saying he had “killed” everyone. This caused me great concern being that we ourselves could not reach the parents or subjects in question.
At that point i took it upon myself to contact the Farmville Police Department and inform them of a possible homicide at the kelly residence. My statement was taken, and officers were dispatched to the scene shortly thereafter. ( i had the address because purchases had been made via the killmusick store ).
I have personally been in contact with Melanie & Sam’s family, trying my best to keep them updated with any information i was givin by the detectives to whom which at this point i was in hourly contact with.
I was later informed by certain parties that the victims were indeed murdered and that sam was no where to be found, it was at this point i took it upon myself to contact the wells family and inform them sadly that i had been informed that their daughter had been murdered, the wells family had not been contacted at this point by any law enforcement, and i felt it to be my obligation as a human being to inform them of what had happened, i reffered to them the phone number of the detective to whom i had been in regular contact with at that point in time.
