New Interscope layoffs...

A UMG spokesperson got back to us (very quickly!) to say no, there were not “massive” or major layoffs at the company. He says the rumor stems from layoffs at one of UMG‘s many labels—perhaps Interscope.

Crazed Hits:

Lots of layoffs at Interscope today! One of our A&R contacts at the label said, “it’s a blood bath here today”, and confirmed several layoffs, “mostly Marketing and Publicity with a few others thrown in”. The only A&R who got axed is Ryan O’Donnell, who recently signed Street Drum Corps with Jimmy Iovine.
