Veteran label Ninja Tune is at the helm of an ingenius idea to give die-hard fans the chance to get their hands on out-of-print releases. Via Clash Music:
Destroyed during the London riots in the summer of 2011, the loss of the Sony-DADC warehouse in Edmonton left a number of independent labels ravaged. Obliterating their stock, imprints such as Ninja Tune, Domino, Beggars and more were left without some precious collectors items.
With the launch of Beat Delete, fans can rally to get their favorite releases repressed. It all depends on if enough people place an order. If a release reaches a certain number of orders, it will be repressed and sent out. Kudos to whoever came up with that idea, we can’t wait to get our hands on Blockhead’s Music By Cavelight.
