A Stradivarius violin, worth almost $2 million, has been recovered after a “Gypsy mafia boss” attempted to sell the instrument. Via The Times:

Min-Jin Kym, a virtuoso violinist, lost the instrument when she was distracted by thieves at a branch of Pret A Manger at Euston station.

They initially tried to sell the instrument for £100, but police believe that when they discovered its true value it was transferred through the traveller underworld across Europe.
