You have to give it up to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The guy knows when he’s been beaten. “Gangnam Style” star Psy dropped by the UN to kick it with his fellow Korean, who admitted that the lovable horse-dancing rapper had overtaken him for the title of “World’s Most Famous Korean.” Via Rolling Stone:
“Until two days ago someone told me I am the most famous Korean in the world,” said Ban. “Now I have to relinquish. I have no regrets.” Psy himself was playful but praiseworthy. “So now you have first and second famous Korean in the same building,” he said.
Psy responded by saying that he was happy a national hero like Ban even knew who he was.
“For all the Koreans he is the guy, you know, in everyone’s heart in Korea, the best among the best. To be here and he knows me, even the thing that he knows me is so touching right now, and he’s saying he saw my video,” said Psy. “He counted my video views . . . This is much more better feeling than when I did Number Two on Billboard.”
Ban then asked Psy if he could get Russia to play ball on sanctions against Syria, because he’s been getting nowhere
