In an interview with Pitchfork, singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield, who operates under the name Waxahatchee, talks about her insane Rilo Kiley tattoo…
Pitchfork: I noticed you have a Rilo Kiley album cover tattooed to your arm.
KC: Rilo Kiley changed my life. The first time I went to New York, I was 13, and I bought The Execution of All Things when it had just come out. I listened to that record so many times. [Jenny Lewis] was a perfect influence then. Rilo Kiley is obviously an indie rock band, but she sings like a real singer, which is how I always tried to sing, too. And lyrically, she was genius on that album.
