“Black girls just want to get fucked all night
I just don’t have that much jam”
I just want to put that out there because it’s a funny, mean, maybe even important line. It’s the very antithesis of the Beach Boys’ categorization of females in “California Girls,” and it’s proof that at least into the late 70s the Stones still had a sense of humor, and a whiff of danger about them.
Mick Jagger does not sing that line in the version of “Some Girls” in the new Scorsese movie, Shine a Light.

For those of us who saw the Stones on Sullivan change the lyrics of "Let's Spend the Night Together" to "Let's Spend Some Time Together," it's not big news. But I wonder if anyone in the band has Brian Jones' sense of integrity who kept his back to the camera during its performance. But the Doors put them to shame, when Ed instructed Jim to change some lyrics to "Light My Fire" the band said sure, then went out and did the song as written. But really folks, is this not just another diversion? Our country is like the Titanic that has just struck the iceberg and all we want to talk about is our deck chairs. To add insult to injury, the captain has taken off in a special life raft with the loot from the ship's safe.
Look, this was the only way we could expect to do a decent amount cross-synergy/product placement tie-ins. The people at McDonalds told our lawyers that if we expect to do some sort of "Jumpin Jack Flapjack Egg McMuffin" tie-in we had to cut back some of the less agreeable elements of our songs. Also, Marty was told by Budweiser that if he wants to do one of those shaky-camera-semi-spontaneous close ups of me drinking a Bud backstage, we can't risk alienating the heartland demographic. Hey, I didn't go to the London School of Economics to make LESS money at my career! Rock on!
Oh they censored more than that for clinton; dropped "...who killed the kennedys, well after all it was you and me..." from "sympathy for the devil" and "...Scarred old slaver know he's doing all right, Hear him whip the women just around midnight" from Brown Sugar. Jagger can't sing, he simply shouts the lyrics, Richards can barely lift a guitar, he's so antrophied. Pathetic bunch of has-beens, but at least Wood and Watts can actually play. Never thought I'd see the Stones shilling for the red dress stainer. Gawd save Jack White.
