The Next Web reports on the recent raiding of Russian tech startup Dream Industries, owners of the music streaming service Zvooq, by the very people who invested in it. The company’s founder, Alexei Ostroukhov, wrote a Facebook message saying that some of the initial investors in his company are of a “group of people who [did] business in Russia since the early 90’s… with criminal tendencies”, and that they had made an “unlawful seizure” of the company’s bank accounts, as well as bringing in armed guards to lock down their offices.
“I’m under impression that what’s happening is an intentional destruction of the business. We are going to assert our rights by all means. This world is not driven by money, rather money is driven by this world.”
