Stones Throw soul man Mayer Hawthorne has been spending a lot of time in Paris of late. Tonight, he performs at La Bellevelloise, and about a week ago, he let slip via Twitter that he was “recording some vocals for Snoop Dogg at a studio in Paris,” adding, “the surreal life continues.”

Those paying attention to the Dogg’s feed may not be surprised though, as the rap superstar Tweeted the following in late October: “Who ya know that can pull @souljaboytellem @mayerhawthorne and @diplo in for a movie? Dat’s why i’m BOSS dogg. We all might do an album.” Yes, please?
