UPDATE: MTV reality show 'Downtown Girls' to feature Gurj as 'hip music executive'...

MTV announced its new slate of fall programming today, including a new reality show called “Downtown Girls” that, according to the Hollywood Reporter, is:

a reality sitcom chronicling the real-life exploits of five twentysomethings in New York: a whip-smart vlogger/blogger, an aspiring lawyer, a chic boutique owner, a hip music executive and a bride-to-be. Rico Martinez, Dan Lindau, Brooke Posch and Conan Smith of Crossroads TV are executive producing.

But what the press release failed to mention is that the “whip-smart vlogger/blogger” is none other than Daily Swarm reader Sarah Lewitinn aka Ultragrrrl and the “hip music executive” is her roommate, Atlantic Records’ self-described “digital muppet” Gurj.

UPDATE: Ultragrrrl clarifies:

Oh shit!!! I mis read ur email. No, I’m not starring in the show! Ack!

Do the "stories" on this site that are least musically relevant and most insidiously lame get the most hate comments and wind up selling more ads for the site?

Does Lame+Hate=Money? If so, you should so write Lefsetz and let him know you've monetized!
