Vladimir Franz, a Czech composer whose body happens to be covered from head to toe in indecipherable tattoos, has lost his bid for president. As Norman Lebrecht reports:

Franz had been keeping pace for most of the race – he was in third as recently as this week – but unfortunately his left-leaning platform wasn’t enough to fight off his politically entrenched opponents.
Oh well – his day job is still awesome, and so is he.
