VH1 announced that they are making a new biopic on 1990s R&B group TLC with “T-Boz” and “Chilli” signing on as consultants and executive producers. But what everyone really wants to know is, who’s playing Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes? Why, Lil Mama, of course! Via Pitchfork:
TLC. Now, they’ve confirmed that the scripted, full-length film, Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story, will begin production next month in Atlanta, the group’s birthplace. The cast will feature rapper Lil Mama (of “Lip Gloss” and “America’s Best Dance Crew’ fame) as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, actress/singer Drew Sidora (Step Up, “That’s So Raven”) as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, and actress/singer KeKe Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee, Ice Age: Continental Drift) as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
