Another Atlanta based music tech startup from Georgia Tech’s Center for Music Technology has built an impressive mobile app. This time it’s LaDiDa, an innovative reverse karaoke application for the iPhone – you sing and it generates a unique matching accompaniment. Here’s a quick demo:

Future versions of LaDiDa will include enhanced music accompaniments, Android availability and expanded social sharing functions. LaDiDa is the first product from Khush Inc., a music technology development firm focused on building intelligent music applications for mobile phones.

I can't find this app in the iTunes store. Also, it might be good to show off this app with someone who can sing on beat. It's really uncomfortable to watch when the vocals aren't even on time with the beat

The demo would have been better had they gotten someone who could sing in rhythm. Plus it sounded like the backing track was created to match the *gasp* metronome anyway, so I guess it didn't matter what she was singing. Brilliant.
