Archie's Gang illustrates how Shatner and Cocker are in A Different Class

TDS Editors

Last week, Chris’ Invisible Super Blog posted a series of Archie’s Gang Comics frames lovingly re-captioned with the lyrics of Pulp’s song “A Different Class,” the title track from the group’s beloved 1995 album. Interestingly, the commentors on the original post – and on the numerous blogs that have pointed to this hilarious bit of pop art – are pretty evenly divided over which recording of the song – Pulp’s original or William Shatner’s 2004 reinterpretation from Has Been – is the definitive version.

Now, both versions have been turned into music videos using Chris Sims’ comics, so you can see and listen at the same time. Sims promises a “This Is Hardcore” follow-up.

I love the Shatman (and hell, Joe Jackson), but there's no way in hell anyone could possibly call his version definitive over Jarvis Cocker's. Nope.
