Chris Lighty has released a statement denying that he is managing ex-prostitute Ashley Dupre.

The New York Post said that Dupre had hooked up with Lighty and his Violator Management with the hopes of launching a music career.

Lighty released a statement through a representative on Monday (December 1) shooting down this report.

“Despite media reports, Chris Lighty and Violator Management do not represent Ashley Dupre. Lighty helped negotiate an interview for Dupre with Diane Sawyer, and has no further involvement in Dupre’s career.”

Dupre was caught up in a scandal where former New York Governor Spitzer was found to be utilizing a prostitution service called Emperors Club VIP.

Spitzer was forced to resign after a government investigation revealed him to be “Client-9” and a frequent user of the service.
