If DMX has completed his parole or probation, he is eligible to vote in Maryland. The commonly-held belief that felons can't vote is true in only 11 states. In two states, felons can vote even while they're in prison! Another 37 states place varying restrictions on felons that have been released from prison (most commonly that you can't vote until your parole and probation are over). But still, most states do allow felons to vote.

It is his responsibility to look after his children and to show his children they can make a difference even when things are taken away from him. THEIR chance has not been taken away, why would he take it away for them? It's not like his vote was taken away forever, anyway.

Obama is where he is because his family believed in him, not because of money, not because his mother was white, not because his father was one of the most intelligent men and became a respected man in Kenya. DMX has so much money he could have put to good use, why isn't he ensuring that his children have the same opportunities and the same commitment and the same love and the same 'i believe in you' as Obama has received?
