UPDATE: Daft Punk heading to Australia in December on the Never Ever Land tour…
This is one costume party not to miss. The Daily Swarm has confirmed that Daft Punk will play one additional North American show on the Alive 2007 tour:
31 de octubre: Palacio de los Deportes, Ciudad de México
Tickets go on sale next week.
The Dia de los Muertes show in Mexico comes just four days after the duo’s only remaining U.S. show for the year, in Las Vegas for the Vegoose Festival. The only other dates on the group’s calender are a series of shows in Japan this December.
Also, more details have been released about the Alive 2007 live CD set. According to Billboard:
Daft Punk’s June 14, 2007, show in its Paris hometown forms the basis of “Daft Punk Alive 2007,” due Nov. 20 via Capitol. The album will be available as a single-disc set or a two-disc edition that features the encore and a 50-page book.
The tour version of “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” will be issued as a single from the live set, and a video, directed by Oliver Gondry, will feature footage shot by fans during an Aug. 9 show at Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
