The Specials Reunion Countdown: The band suits up in Ace Face

We measured all of The Specials yesterday (Monday 19 Jan) and they are all having our tonic suits for their 30th Anniversary tour.

It’s mad – if you’d have told us when we were teenagers that one day our favourite band would be wearing our suits in the future we would’ve laughed at you!

Thanks for approaching us fellas – it’s a dream come true.

EARLIER:

The Specials have asked Ace Face to supply them with our tonic suits for their forthcoming tour in April & May.

On a scale of 1 to 10 of how excited we are about working with The Specials, then it’s got to be an 11. The Specials are THE iconic band of Ska and as you know, are also one of the most influential British bands, ever. This is an amazing thing to happen to our company and we are very, very happy.

We’ve just finished our first year trading and in these 12 months we were asked by The Specials, Madness, The Dub Pistols & The Dualers to kit them out with our tonic suits. They heard that we were the only place to go to to get a proper two-tone tonic suit.

We can’t believe the success we’ve had this year with our tonic suits, although we never doubted what we were doing was the real stuff, that the quality was superb and that we could make this happen.

Really, every Specials fan on the planet wants to see the current lineup and Jerry sort out their differences, and make this reunion what it ought to be, the best band on the planet, with the full lineup.

Neville Staple is bringing out his biography to coincide with the tour start in April. That should be interesting. I heard from somebody in the publishing industry it goes in to the whole Coventry music scene before The Specials formed. Shows that all the guys came from very different musical backgrounds. You can hear that in the sound of The Specials.

Also, Neville comes clean on this criminal past! The book is gonna be called Original Rude Boy and Amazon already has it on its website, you can reserve it there.
